Winslow Francis Cryor

Winslow Francis Cryor, 93, of Venice, Florida died Sunday April 27, 2008 of a long illness. Mr. Cryor was born on July 19, 1914 in Malden, Massachusetts to Winslow and Elizabeth (Geary) Cryor. Mr. Cryor moved to Venice in 1986 coming from E. Harwich, MA. Mr. Cryor started a lifelong banking career at Merchants National Bank in Boston, MA and retired in 1974 as Executive Vice President of Michigan Avenue National Bank in Chicago, IL. He was a past member of various banking organizations and he attended Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Venice, FL; and a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Coast Guard. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jean H. Cryor of Venice, FL; cousin, Paul and Carol Bilodeau of Fall River, MA., sister-in-law, Elaine Wolff, niece, Nancy, nephew, William. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 2, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
