Frances Irene Gustin (Fig) Dial, of Venice, Florida formerly of Decatur, IL died Monday April 14, 2008. She had battled cancer for many years. Fig requested cremation with no services.. Fig graduated from Decatur High School and attended Millikin University. She married Clyde Dial and they had a son Timothy. Her father, Harold Gustin, Husband, and son preceded her in death. Fig retired from Borg Warner in Decatur, IL. After her retirement, Fig enjoyed traveling and playing golf with many girl friends. She was a past member of the YWCA golf league, as well as the Scovill Ladies’ 9th hole league, she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. Fig is survived by her mother, Irene Maffit of Venice, FL; brothers, Carl (Bud) Gustin of Venice; and Richard (Dick) Gustin of Lake Zurich, IL; her half sister, Jeanie Upton of Livingston, TN; her sister-in-law, Glenda Trusner of Decatur, IL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a special fiend, Eddie Root of Decatur, IL.
