Marjorie E. Logan, age 87, of Venice, Florida, passed away on March 12, 2008. She was born in Staten Island, New York on March 5, 1921. She was a noted amateur artist. She moved to Venice 28 years ago from Lansing, Michigan. She was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Englewood, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, George J. Logan; children, Marjorie (Edward) Landers of Cooperstown, New York, Patricia (James) Dickinson of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Joanne Logan of Riverdale, New Jersey, James (Stephanie) Logan of Englewood, Florida; sister, Beatrice Healy of East Hanover, New Jersey; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, George J. Logan and sisters, Marilyn Hesson and Edna Geary. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2008 from 5:00-7:00PM at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 17, 2008, 10:00AM at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Englewood. Burial will take place in New York. Memorial donations may be made to St. Raphael’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 770 Kilbourne Avenue, Englewood, Florida 34223. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
