John “Jack” Misner, 85, of Nokomis Florida, died February 20, 2008. He was born February 11, 1923 in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Nokomis from Laurel, Maryland in 1984. Mr. Misner was a Printer for Color Tone Press in Washington, DC for 30 years, retiring in 1983. He was a Veteran of WWII, Army; a member of the American Legion; past Governor of the Moose Lodge in Wheaton, MD. Survivors include his brother James D. Misner of Louisville, KY and his sister Peggy M. Life of Silver Spring, MD Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 5-8 PM at Farley Funeral Home, Venice, FL A funeral will be held Saturday, February 23, 10AM at Farley Funeral Home, Venice, FL. Interment will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial Donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
