Mary Helen Veldhuis, 89 of Venice, Florida passed away December 4, 2007 at Venice Regional Medical Center. Mary Helen was born August 17, 1918 in Danbury, Connecticut to Walter Earl Moody and August Hill White. She moved to Venice in 1982 from Morristown, New Jersey. She was a Librarian for 15 years with the Morris County Library in Whippany, New Jersey until her retirement. Mary Helen is survived by two daughters; Hollace Veldhuis and husband Matthew Zwerling of San Francisco, California and Karen Colette and husband Jim of Roanoke, Virginia and three grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held for Mary Helen on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Village on the Isle in Venice, Florida.
