Charles P. Bowman, 88 of North Port, Florida formerly of Dayton, Ohio passed away November 28, 2007. Survivors include his wife Beverly of 63 years, two sons; Thomas B. of Dayton, Ohio and William P. of Venice, Florida, sister; Elizabeth Ressler of Lewisburg, Ohio, two grandchildren; Karen Janney of Tipp City, Ohio and Jeannie Moore of Vandalia, Ohio and three great great grandchildren. Charles moved to North Port in 1982 after his retirement from Standard Register Co. He was an electrical engineer for Standard Register for 27 years. He served with the United States Army during WWII and was in the 136th Field Artillery in the South Pacific.
