Leonore Irene Esbig Dowlen

Leonore Irene Esbig Dowlen, 81, of Venice, previously of Lanesboro, MA, passed away on November 8, 2007. She was born in Pittsfield, MA on December 10, 1925. Leonore was a humble artist, skilled in quilting and sewing. She had enjoyed knitting and sewing clothing for migrant workers during her life. Leonore was a loving mother to her children, and a devoted wife to her husband of 62 years Lee “Tex” Dowlen, whom had preceded her in death earlier this year. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice. Survivors include a son David of Bennington, VT; daughter Deborah Obeid and husband Rick of Sarasota; granddaughter Alyssa Obeid and her fiance David Gerhardt of Sarasota.
