Ann Slappey Morison, age 78, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on October 11, 2007. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on December 2, 1928 to the late Henry Slappey and Lois Bolin. Ann came to Mountain Lake, FL in 1954 and later to Winter Haven in 1975. She was the owner-operator of Booktraders in Winter Haven for 15 years. Ann retired to Venice in 1995. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lake Wales, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband George Elgin Morison in 1963. Survivors include a daughter Ann M. Mays of Asheville, NC; son George E. Morison of Venice; brother Robert E. Bagby of Winter Haven; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 10 AM on Wednesday, October 17th at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lake Wales.
