Mildred Patton Carver On Tuesday, September 25th, 2007, Mildred, 81, of Nokomis, FL after a short illness. Mildred was born July 20, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a 1944 graduate of Wilkinsburg High School, and came to the Venice, FL area in 1975. She is remembered as a loving wife and mother. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star, the Venice American Legion Auxiliary and the 8 & 40. Mildred was Presbyterian by faith. Wife of the late George A. Carver III, mother of Janis A. Degnan of Ft. Myers, FL; James W. Carver of Pittsburgh, PA, George P. Carver of Buckhannon, WV; grandmother of Tracy Riso of Las Vegas, NV, Madeline Carver of Pittsburgh, PA, Kathleen Carver of New York, NY, George and Patrick Carver of Buckhannon, WV. Great grandmother of James Riso. Mildred was the youngest of six siblings; Ralph Patton of Washington, DC, Eleanor Oyler of Pittsburgh, PA, the late William Patton, Jean Rupp and Helen Harry. She is also survived by her long time companion Robert Favor of Nokomis, FL and his daughter Jean Sanborn of Seattle, WA.
