Robert A. “Bert” Retzlaff of Venice, FL passed away August 19, 2007. He was 53. He was born June 23, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI and has been a resident for over 20 years. Bert was very much involved with the curling club in Wisconsin and also played soccer. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, #1308 and the American Legion, both in Venice, FL. He was predeceased by his father Robert F. Retzlaff. Survivors include his mother, Joan Retzlaff of WI; companion of 16 years, Debbie King of Venice, FL; brothers: Ronnie Retzlaff of CO and James Retzlaff of WI; three sisters: Susan Rilling of CO, Barbara (Bryan) Retzlaff of WI, Elizabeth (Larry) French of CO; four loving nephews: Dan, Doug, Travis and Samuel; and a fond brother-in-law, Don Rilling. He will also be remembered for his unique sense of humor, love of life and family. Always a quick thought and wit to share. He touched many lives. He will always be remembered and loved. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 1st, 2PM at the Chapel of the Chimes, Wisconsin Memorial Park. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory, Venice Florida, is handling arrangements.
