Victor Eugene Forker
January 8th, 1923 - April 18th, 2007
Victor Eugene Forker, 84, Venice, formerly of Darien, New Canaan, and Southport, CT died April 18, 2007. Survivors include sons Victor, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Peter of Chicago, IL, Paul of West Boxford, MA, and Philip of Tualatin, OR; daughter Elizabeth Larsen of New York City; sister Helen Siler of Johnson City, TN; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Forker served in the US Army 84 Engineers camouflage battalion during WWII, serving 32 months in North Africa, France and Germany. He married Helen Elizabeth O’Brien in 1948 and they moved to Fairfield County, CT raising 5 children. Known in the broadcasting field as Buck, he worked for radio and television stations in NYC, Hartford, and Washington DC. He retired in 1991, and he and Betty moved to the Plantation in Venice in 1992. Betty preceded him in death in September 2006.
