Don Skaggs
December 4th, 1930 - November 14th, 2006
Don Skaggs, 75, of Nokomis, passed away on November 14th. He was born on December 4, 1930 and raised in Louisa, KY. He joined the Navy and served in the Korean War. He was district manager for the Social Security Administration in Atlanta, GA for fifteen years before retiring to Florida in 1980. After retirement he worked in real estate in Sarasota before coming to Nokomis. He was member of the Venice Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading and golf. Survivors include his wife Charlotte; daughter Donna McConahy of Sharpsburg, GA; son David of Clinton, TN; step daughter Lisa Dooley of Orangeville, CA; step son Steven Janson of Saginaw, MI; seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be 11 AM on Friday, November 17th at the Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Internment will be in Georgia. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
