Mary N. Burnett passed away in Sarasota on September 27, 2006 she was 76 years old. Born in Cape Girardeau, MO on December 6, 1929; she was a resident of Milford, MI before moving to Venice in 1983. For 16 years she had worked for General Electric Co. in Detroit before retiring in 1982. She had been the first female branch manager for GE in Michigan. She had also spent 7 years with Neilson Media Research. Survivors include her husband Hoyt; son David of Bradenton; sister Ann Piper of Ocala; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, October 2nd with Funeral to begin at 11 at the Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel; internment will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238.
