John J. Mandy
May 2nd, 1919 - August 29th, 2006
John Mandy, Jr. 87 of Nokomis passed away August 29, 2006. He was born May 2, 1919, in Keasbey, NJ and came to Nokomis 26 years ago from New Jersey. He worked for National Lead Industries in Fayreville, NJ. for 45 years until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Elks and served during WWII with the United States Army Airborne Unit. He is survived by two daughters, Dana Clipse of Venice and Debbie DiAntonio of Edison, NJ., and a granddaughter Brittany Clipse of Venice. A memorial service for Mr. Mandy will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Farley Funeral Home, Venice chapel with Rev. J. Ralph Burton officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Bushnell National Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made in Mr. Mandy’s name to Venice Vipers Softball, C/O Riverside Bank, 717 E. Venice Avenue, Venice, FL 34285. Farley Funeral Home was in charge with making arrangements.
