IVAN LEE REAVES, 82 of Venice died July 28, 2006. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia May 1, 1924. He moved to this area from Brielle, New Jersey in 1970. He retired as a U. S. Navy Commander flying lighter than air aircraft. He served in WWII. He was the President of ReaVes R. V. on U. S. 41 ByPass South from 1971 to 1991. He was a member of the Venice Church of the Nazarene, Retired Officers Association, R. V. Dealers Association, Venice Elks, American legion No-Vel Post # 159 and the Venice Kiwanis. He is survived by his wife Jean B. Reaves of Venice, son David Reaves of Venice; three daughters Pamela Tooker of Brick, New Jersey, Robin Kennedy of Toronto, Canada and Shirley Prolizo of North Ridgeville, Ohio; step-son Mark Johnson of Tampa, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by a daughter Barbara Sabini. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
