Sandra L. Weekly
January 4th, 1946 - July 27th, 2006
Sandra L. Weekly of Venice, FL, died Thursday, after an extended illness, caused by a stroke. Sandy was born January 8, 1946 in Yorkshire, England, the daughter of an American Air Force father and a British Air Force mother. She came to the U.S. in 1947 on a liberty ship carrying war brides and families. She grew up in Indiana. In 1996, Sandy accompanied her husband COL (U.S. Army Retired) Terry M. Weekly, who survives her, to Venice. Here she was actively involved in church and senior citizen activities, and was well known for her vibrant personality, ready smile and inspirational visits to shut-ins in nursing home facilities. She is survived by her husband, Terry and a sister, Mary Potter of Cerritos, CA. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, August 4, 2006 at the First Christian Church, 1100 Center Road, Venice, FL.
