November 9th, 1934 - July 18th, 2006
Albert G. Houghton passed away on July 18,2006 he was 71 years old. Born in Howell, MI on November 9, 1934; he moved from there to Nokomis in 1982. He worked for Sarasota County as a heavy equipment operator for 13 years before retiring in 2001. A member of Fellowship Bible Church in Venice; he had served in the West Indies as a missionary. He was a Coast Guard Veteran. Survivors include his wife Jean of Nokomis; son Daniel of Bay City, MI; sister Jeanette Wines and brother Thomas, both of Howell, MI. Visitation will be at 1PM with services to begin at 2PM on Saturday July 22nd, at the Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Burial will be Monday July 24th at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Memorial donations may be made to the Fellowship Bible Church, Missions Fund, 4400 Zenith Rd Venice, FL 34293 or to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238. Friends may visit anytime online at www.farleyfuneralhome.com to sign a guest register book and extend condolences to the family.
