John J. Cassidy passed away at his home in Venice, FL on July 16,2006 he was 75 years old. He was born August 23, 1930 in Troy, NY and received his bachelor of arts from Union College in Schenectady, NY. He had served as the Public Relations Director for Albany Medical Center and later went on to be the Executive Assistant to the New York State Health Department Commissioner. He was a US Army veteran. Survivors include his wife Marilyn of Venice; son David of Atlanta, GA; daughter Elizabeth Starling of Tappan, NY; brother Paul of Plano, TX; sister Ann Rowe of Vernon, CT; one grandchild. The family will receive friends at their home from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, July 19th. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238 or to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Ave. Miami, FL 33136. Friends may visit anytime online at www.farleyfuneralhome.com to sign a guest register book and extend condolences to the family.
