Roy George Lingruen
November 21st, 1928 - June 7th, 2006
Roy George Lingruen, Sr. passed away in St. Petersburg, FL on June 7th, he was 77 years old. Born on November 21, 1928 in North Olmsted, OH; he was a life long resident of Ridgeville, OH prior to moving to Florida four months ago. Through life he had worked for Baker Motors as a tow truck driver and for Seaway Security both in Lakewood, OH. Later he went on to start Great Lakes Security in Lakewood which he operated for over 25 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Eva; granddaughter Jacquelyn Deskins and niece Leanne Zieger. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty of North Port, FL; two sons, Kenneth of North Ridgeville, OH and Roy Jr. of North Port, FL; two daughters, Lynn Deskins of Sierra Vista, AZ and Sandra McMillan of Clearwater, FL; sister Joanne Zieger of Berea, OH; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Southwest FL Office, 4902 Eisenhower Blvd. #295 Tampa, FL 33634 or to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation 12902 Magnolia Drive Tampa FL 33612.
