Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Henry Buddy Bryson
October 23rd, 1933 - June 5th, 2006
Buddy Bryson, 73, of Nokomis, went home to be with his Lord, Monday, June 5, 2006. He was predeceased, one week prior, by his wife of 49 years, Annie (Lois) Bryson. Buddy and Lois moved to Florida from North Carolina in 1956. He was a Masonry Contractor and has been retired several years. He was a good man that believed and lived the Golden Rule. Even when times were tough, he never complained, at least when we kids were around, but we knew his job was rough. Every morning he would grab his lunch box and thermos of coffee and kiss mom goodbye before leaving for work. Late in the evening, we would hear his truck pull into the driveway and see a tired man heading for the front door. But when he entered the house, a smile would flash across his face and he had hugs for everyone. It was probably during one of those many hugs that I first noticed the stained, rough hands of hard work. He was a good man that provided a warm loving home to his family. He was also blessed with wonderful friends and business associates. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Farley Funeral Home, 265 S. Nokomis Avenue, Venice from 6-9 PM. Burial will be at the Hamburg Cemetery in Cashiers, NC. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church in the Pines, 727 Shore Road, Nokomis, FL 34275. Friends may visit anytime online at www.farleyfuneralhome.com to sign a guest register book and extend condolences to the Bryson family.
