Ronald F. (Ron) Nash, age 72, of Venice, died on April 30, 2006. He was born on April 23, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, and came to Venice in 1972 from St. Louis County, Missouri. Ron taught school at Lemon Bay High School and L.A. Ainger Middle School before retiring in 1995. He graduated Providence High School in Kentucky in 1952, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in 1956 and a Master’s in 1965 from Murray State College. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Surviving family members include his wife, Sue, of Venice; daughters Martha Dodd, and Lori LaHaye, both of Atlanta, and Julie Spijker of the Netherlands; half-sister Penelope Nash of Allen Park, Michigan; and 3 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 10 AM at Grace United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
