Austin R. Chase passed away on March 31st, he was 78 years old. Born in Wellesley, MA on October 28, 1927. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. Before moving to Florida in 1992 he lived in Maryland and worked as an Inspector for the Washington Metro Transit. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Shirley; daughter Karen Ann of Palm Coast, FL; son Kenneth Allen Chase of Arizona; two grandchildren Erick & Lesley Ann; two nephews and a niece. A service will be held in Massachusetts at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5595 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238, or to the Charity of your choice. Friends may visit anytime online at www.farleyfuneralhome.com to sign a register book and extend condolences to the Chase family.
