William John Crelin of Venice, FL died on March 13, 2006. He was born in New Jersey on October 30, 1922, and came to Florida from Westfield, NJ. He was in the retail sporting goods business. Bill served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII as a navigator bombardier with the 305 Bomb Group flying a total on 27 missions. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University in New Jersey, and a member of the Venice Yacht Club, and the DAV. Surviving family members include his wife of 58 years, Edi, of Venice; son William C. Crelin, M.D. of White Fish Bay, Wisconsin; daughters Patricia Layton of Westfield, NJ and Barbara Nezleck of Rahway, NJ; and 3 grandchildren, Kelli and Tommy Layton and Alyssia Crelin. No services are planned at this time. Farley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
