Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Thomas, 88, passed away February 16, 2006. She was born October 3, 1917 in Wichita Falls, TX. She was an accountant for Independent Oil Co. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. She married David Ansell Thomas in 1946. She moved to the area in 1991 from Ithaca, NY. She was predeceased by her husband David Ansell Thomas. She was the loving mother of Ann E. Thomas and the beloved grandmother of Wesley and Emma Hughes; a brother, Larry R. (Lucille) Smith and her dear friend Melena Poth. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tide Well Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238.
