Edward Arthur Silva, age 86, of Both Venice, FL and Medford, MA since 1988, died on January 24, 2006 at the Venice Regional Medial Center, Venice, FL. He was born on August 1, 1919 in Lexington, MA where he was Deputy Fire Chief for the Lexington Fire Department, Lexington, MA; for 30 years until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church and of the Lions Club both in Lexington, MA. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Silva (nee Rosa) of Venice, FL and Medford, MA; children, Gerald of Mechanicsburg, PA; Joyce Silva of Keene, NH; Joan Carlson of Providence, RI; Jeffery of Lake George, NY; and Jonathan of Newton, NJ; sister, Barbara Baril of Myersville, MD; brother, Richard Silva of Utah; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral Service will be held in Lexington, MA. Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel in charge of local arrangements.
