Debra Ann Angelo passed away on January 21st in Sarasota, she was 53 years old. Born in Passaic, NJ on July 12, 1952. She lived in West Paterson, NJ until moving to Venice seven years ago. For eighteen years she has taught English as a second language in New Jersey as well as Florida. An accomplished pianist she has taught piano for over thirty years. She received her PhD. in Philosophy and Education from Columbia State University in 1994 and was named teacher of the year at Riverview High school for 2006. In her free time she enjoyed traveling with her husband. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Thomas; a daughter Deborah (David) Svoboda of Escondido, CA; her two sons, Major Thomas Angelo USAF of Colorado Springs, CO and Robert Angelo of Orlando, FL; and her two grandchildren; sister Linda Stoecklin of Venice & brother John Marchegiani of Sarasota. Visitation will be Wednesday January 25th, from 5-8 PM at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 26th, 10 AM at the Epiphany Cathedral in Venice with internment to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial Donations may be made to Cancer Advocacy.org. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge.
