Robert Alexander Gomes passed away on February 23rd ,2022 in Sarasota, Florida. He was born on February 1st, 1968 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania to Dr. Stella Sookdeo Pla and the late Dr. Ralph C. Gomes. He is predeceased by his sister Sasha Gomes and survived by his daughters Cassandra and Christina Gomes, older brother R. Christopher Gomes as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Commonly referred to as Alex, he attended Rockville High School, Montgomery College and the DeVry Institute of Technology. During his career he worked in the fields of insurance and food management. Alex had a remarkable personality and had a passion for fast cars even becoming a member of the Porsche Club of South Florida. He had an eclectic taste in music and enjoyed many genres and artists especially Prince. He will be remembered for his loving ways, loyalty, determination, and persistence for any one and anything he set his heart to. He always exhibited his passion to do the right thing and to protect his family. Alex touched the hearts of many people and will be forever loved and sorely missed.
