David Dickson
July 12th, 1944 - June 9th, 2023
David Dickson of Venice, Florida passed away peacefully on June 9, 2023. He was born to Robert and Meta Dickson, July 12, 1944 in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Ridley Township High School in 1962 and later graduated from West Chester University. Dave became a pilot at a very young age and pursued this passion professionally. While living in New Jersey he flew for Ransome Airlines, Pan American, and finished his career as a corporate pilot for Aramark. After retiring, he moved to Venice and continued to fly as a hobby until this year. Dave was preceded in death by his daughter Sandy Dickson and his sister Marian Dreger. Surviving family members include his wife of 54 years, Nancy Dickson, son Scott (Stephanie) Dickson; grand children Lauren and Jake Dickson; sister in law Susan Stang; niece Debbie Onischuk; nephews David (Lisa) Onischuk, Chris Stang, Jeff (Lauren) Stang, and Eric (Michele) Stang. Dave will be remembered as a friend you could always count on. He will truly be missed. A gathering of friends will be held on June 30 2023 from 10am to 11:30am with a Memorial Service at 11:30 at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. Memorial donations may be made to Tide Well Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238.
