Norma Jean (Karns) Weigle was born in Artemas, PA on July 12, 1935 and passed away August 7th, 2023 in Venice, FL. Beloved by all who knew her, “Jeannie” was a nurse anesthetist for many years at Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “King” Weigle; her parents, Edgar and Vada Karns and sister Lorraine K. Lewis. She is survived by her son, Ed Weigle and daughter-in-law, Colleen of Venice, FL; plus, grandchildren, Zachary Weigle, Colleen Foresee and Patrick Bass, their spouses and children and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in Venice, FL at a date to be announced. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Farley Funeral Home in Venice, FL and ultimate interment will be with her husband at Fairview Cemetery in Artemas, PA. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease.
