October 17th, 1960 - May 5th, 2024
Mary R. Madden, 63, peacefully passed away in her sleep in Venice, Florida, on May 5, 2024, after bravely battling cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Patrick J. Madden, her children Patrick, Molly, and Daniel, and her seven siblings. She is pre-deceased by her loving parents Helen S. (O’Keefe) McCarthy and Francis G. McCarthy. Mary dedicated over 35 years to nursing, spreading joy and comfort in hospitals like New England Baptist Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital. She also taught at Curry College where she shared her passion for nursing. Mary's bright smile, calm demeanor and unwavering support touched everyone she met. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and selflessness, forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 4:00PM-6:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
