Charles “Chuck” Edward Heston passed away May 8th, 2024, among family and caregivers. He was born on November 14th, 1953, in Tyler, Texas, to his parents, George F. Heston and Helen R. McGinnis. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (Papaw), brother, and a loving Christian man. His family was everything to him. He spent his life in Tyler, Texas, working with the Smith County Sheriff’s Department, EMS, Director of EMS at East Texas Medical Center and pharmaceutical sales before relocating to Venice, Florida, in 2018. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 28 years, Patricia Ross Phillipps Heston; yellow lab, Izzy; his mother-in-law, Vivianne Phillipps; children, Adam (Michelle) Heston; the late Casey (Davy) Heston; Katy (Stephen) Angus, Kristy (Bryce) Frerichs; 8 beautiful grandchildren, Anna, Coley, Rowan, Reese, Beckham, Sawyer, Brenner, and Brooks, who brought him great pride and joy. He is also survived by his “big” brother, Stan (Susie) Heston; nieces, Jordan (Michael) Whittle and Sydney Heston; in addition, he leaves behind 5 close cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and son, Casey Michael Heston. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Sarasota County Lift Assist Program or the Tidewell Hospice Foundation.
