Garry Gene Phillips

On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Garry Gene Phillips passed away peacefully in his home in Colorado, a home that he built from the ground up. Garry will be missed by many, including his sons, Roy and Drew; his daughter, Abigail; his two brothers, Jim and Joe; his grandchildren; and the many people that Garry encountered throughout his life.

Garry was a simple man, but e was a man who wore many hats. he could make anyone fall in love with the country life, and had even convinced some to move out there. He always reminisced about his military service, like receiving Jiffy Pop and taking Polaroids. Garry could tinker with anything from lawnmowers to his 1940's 8N tractor, and even equipment at a satellite station. He had an eye for building, be it hollowing out a canoe with his younger brother, or building his forever home with the love of his life, Cathie.

Garry worked for many years in satellite communications and made his way to director of the company.

Garry was a wonderful husband and father who would do anything to take care of his family. He was  a master at teaching lessons all while saying, "it builds character."

All who knew him know that he is at peace and his with his soulmate, Cathie.

There will be two services. One will be in Florida at his brother Jim's home on Saturday, June 22, 2024. The other will be held at the Phillips residence in Colorado on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
