David Cullen Driscoll
December 27th, 1965 - October 5th, 2018
David Driscoll, Jr., 52, of Big Island, Virginia passed away suddenly on the morning of Friday, October 5th, 2018. He was born on December 27th, 1965 in Richmond, Virginia. Many knew this amazing soul by the name of Dave. He had a passion for working with his hands, mostly construction, as well as raising farm animals, being an avid outdoorsman and growing a spectacular garden. He was known for having the best homegrown tomatoes around, which is how he acquired the nickname “Mater Dave.” He is survived by his aunt, Margaret, of Richmond, Virginia and step-daughter Kelly Witt of Forest, Virginia and step-sons Kendall Witt of Avon, North Carolina, and Kevin Witt of Lynchburg, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane, of Richmond, Virginia and father David Driscoll, Sr. of Richmond, Virginia. Dave leaves behind many friends and others whom he considered family. He was kind, humble and had a way of making each person’s life he touched special. He is now resting peacefully in his forever home. The family will celebrate the life of Dave at Langhorne Chapel Community Church on 10/16/18 at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, it is requested the needs of the family be considered for financial contributions.
