Joseph Lee Johnson
August 27th, 1963 - April 1st, 2022
Joseph Lee Johnson, 58, of Rustburg, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born August 27, 1963 in Lynchburg ,VA, he was a son of Roy M. Johnson and the late Kathryn B. Adams. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to work on cars with his cousin, Bryant. He also enjoyed fishing, car events and spending time with his friends. He is survived by two sisters, Gail Tatum of Lynchburg and a devoted sister, Sally Bowling of Rustburg; one brother, Gary Johnson of Erie, PA; nine nieces and nephews, Lora Bowling, Tray Bowling, Cheryl Pennix, Blake Moore, Gary Johnson Jr, Jessie Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Ronnie Johnson and Billy Johnson; devoted cousin Bryant Pickeral; devoted friends Mike Camden and Steve Shelton. He was preceded in death by his brother Mike Johnson. The family wishes to thank Dr. Patel and the staff at the Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center and the onocology team at Lynchburg General Hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11 A.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel.
