Mary Kathryn Anderson
September 15th, 1935 - December 17th, 2023
Mary Kathryn Anderson, 88, of Lynchburg, VA passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. Mary was a resident of Bentley Commons and retired from PwC. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church. Mary greatly enjoyed watching her UVA Wahoos basketball team and was a lover of animals. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Chester R. and Lillian H. Anderson; her sister, Helen A. Bertrand. She is survived by two nephews, Leland E. Bertrand Jr. (Carol), Jay J. Bertrand (Rebekah) all of Lynchburg; grand-nephews, Leland E. Bertrand III and Joshua D. Bertrand; grand-nieces, Bethany L. Haley (Logan) and Kathryn L. Bertrand. A visitation will be held at the Diuguid Waterlick Chapel on Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 10:00am to 10:45am and followed by a funeral service at 11:00am, officiated by Rev. Peyton Fitzgerald. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society or The American Cancer Society.
