Dana Jean Newcomb
November 13th, 1951 - March 28th, 2024
Dana Jean Newcomb, 72, of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at her home. Born November 13, 1951, she was the daughter of the late James Oliver Newcomb Jr. and Barbara Turner Newcomb. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Derek Newcomb. She was a member of Timberlake Church and was in the hand bell choir. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by two daughters, Meredith K. Hardison (Luke) and Chelsea L. Ward, both of Suffolk, VA; two brothers, Mark B. Newcomb of Forest, VA and Scott O. Newcomb of Moneta, VA; three grandchildren, Alana Butler, Lucas Hall and Hunter Wood; Dana's special friend Mike Collins; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Pribble-Dunn Cemetery on Sunburst Road with Estelle Holt officiating. A reception and visitation will follow the burial at Timberlake Church at 3:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Timberlake Church, 21649 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24502. Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, 434-237-2722, is serving the family.
