Frank Garcia
December 5th, 1955 - May 9th, 2024
On May 9th, 2024, our beloved Frank, age 68, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Frank was born on December 5th, 1955 at Camp Haugen in Hachinohe, Japan to parents, Tsuyako Garcia (Iwai) and Alfred S. Garcia. In his youth, Frank was an independent, active, and bright child with a rebellious streak. Frank grew up in a close-knit military family and remained close to his brothers and mother until his passing. He has lived in Germany, Hawaii, and several cities in California before settling in Marina.
In his late 20s, Frank embarked on his lifelong career in agriculture. He dedicated nearly 42 cherished years to the business. Frank credited Tanimura and Antle with instilling in him “the qualities of leadership, work ethics, philanthropy, and caring for others that [motivated him] every day to be the best [he] could be”.
Frank was a man of integrity, who valued generosity, humor, determination, and loyalty. Outside of work, Frank was always on the go. He had a passion for gardening, cooking, fishing, music, sports, traveling, Costco, and completing house projects.
Among Frank’s many life accomplishments, his proudest was his family. He was a devoted husband who married the love of his life, Lynn, on July 25th, 1987. Frank was the ultimate girl dad. When his daughters were young, he could be found braiding their hair in the mornings and pretending to paint their faces at bedtime. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them dearly.
Frank was predeceased by his father, Alfred S. Garcia and his brother, Walter Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Garcia; his daughters, Tiffany Stephenson, Katharine Flowers, and Lauren Garcia; his grandsons, Cameron Stephenson, Bryce Stephenson, and Luke Flowers; his mother, Tsuyako Garcia; his brothers, Joseph Garcia and Fred Garcia. Frank is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who felt like family.
In his memory, donations can be made to The Hospice Giving Foundation or Central Coast VNA & Hospice.
