March 4th, 1952 - February 11th, 2013
LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Henry "Pete" Walker Clamp, 60, of Lexington, at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin Rogerson. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Clamp passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013. Born in Newberry, he was the son of the late Walker Caldwell Clamp and Laura Katherine McCarty. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a house framer and was currently employed at Walmart. Pete loved fishing and bowling. He helped everyone and everybody. He never met a stranger! Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie Mangrum (Justin) of Virginia; grandchildren, Cameron and Mehgan Mangrum; sisters, Susan Rabon (Thomas), Dale Buesgen (Richard), Ann Garvin (Doug) and Joyce Clamp all of Lexington; close family friends, Bill and Debra Richardson of Lexington, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Benjamin Rabon. Memorials may be made in Pete's honor to Joel Baptist Church, 1165 Old Barnwell Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
