James "Jimmy" Edward Norris
March 15th, 1939 - March 25th, 2014
CAYCE-Funeral service for James Edward "Jimmy" Norris, 75, of Cayce, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 1301 12th Street, Cayce, SC 29033. Reverend Alexander H. Twedt will officiate. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Transfiguration Lutheran Church. Mr. Norris passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Born March 15, 1939 in Saluda, SC, he was a son of the late Benjamin Edward and Katie Lou Bartley Norris. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was an active member of Transfiguration Lutheran Church and was an avid fisherman. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Judy Pless Norris of Cayce; son, James Edward "Eddie" Norris, Jr. (Terry) of West Columbia; daughter, Tracey N. Schultz (Trey) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Shelby, Courtney, Cameron Norris and Tanner Schultz; sisters, Marie Brickle of Cayce and JoAnn Jones (Harold) of Springdale; and sister-in-law, Frances Norris of Conway; along with a large and loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Taylor and brother, John Henry Norris.
