Charles W Gries Jr (Bill) passed away peacefully on February 10, 2011 in Colorado Springs. He was born on April 3, 1945 in Reading, Pennsylvania. Bill retired after 43 years of Federal Service. He was the coordinator of the Space Shuttle landing activities at Edwards Air Force Base and was the Air Space Manager. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 42 years Patricia Gries; son, William Gries (Elizabeth); grandchildren, William and Isabelle Gries; brothers Robert F Gries, Sr. wife (Agnes) of Reading, PA, Gerald T Gries, wife (Mary) of Fernandina Beach, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; Charles W. Gries, Sr. and Mary Isobel Gries (Weaver) of Reading, PA. Services will be held at Our Lady of the Pines on Thursday, February 17, at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to: Pikes Peak Hospice in Memory of Charles W. Gries 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Ste. 600 Colorado Springs, CO 80903
