Martha C. Williams CAYCE—Funeral services for Martha C. Williams, 80, of Cayce will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Grace Chapel Church, 663 Dixiana Road, West Columbia. Officiating will be Rev. Rusty Rabon. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mrs. Williams, beloved wife of Johnnie Monroe Williams, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011. Born in Miami, FL, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. Smith and Rosa Lee Burgess Smith. She was a longtime area resident and a member of Grace Chapel Church. She loved caring for children and worked at Columbia Christian School and Bama's childcare for more than 40 years. Additionally she spent 14 years at First Baptist Church of Cayce as a custodian before retiring. Surviving in addition to her husband, Johnnie M. Williams of Cayce; sons, Earnest Williams of Commerce, GA and Wendell Williams (Sherry) of Lexington; two beautiful grandchildren, Dustin Williams and Bethany Williams; sister, Jackie Griffin (Eugene) of Bloomingdale, GA; and brother, Alfred Smith (Evelyn) of Macon, GA. She was preceded in death by her son, James Robert and infant daughter, Carolyn. Memorials may be made to Grace Chapel Church, 663 Dixiana Road, West Columbia, SC 29172.
