Paul B. Pulley CAYCE: Memorial service for Paul B. Pulley, 79, will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Pulley died, Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Born September 12, 1931, in Laurens, SC, he was the son of the late Ray Pulley and Corrie Pulley. He was a retired car hauler for Motor Convoy for 42 years and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Pulley was a member of the American Legion, St. Andrews-Irmo post and the Cayce Moose Lodge. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves, and loved his dogs, Sirius and Betsy. Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Mary Frances Pulley; son, William Michael Pulley (Myrna); daughters, Cynthia Denise Rhodes (Paul) and Paula Melinda James (Dan); brother, Timothy Ray Pulley; sister, Phyllis Pulley Beahan; four grandchildren, Kayleigh, Benjamin, Lawson, and Maddock; and three great grandchildren, Logan, Lucas and Aiden. Our family would like to especially thank the American Legion for the support and help they have provided us and the Cayce Moose Lodge for their part in the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion, Post 0174, 130 Cressfell Rd., Irmo, SC 29063-2234 or to the Cayce Moose Lodge 462, P.O. Box 3708, West Columbia, SC 29169.
