Gene Irons, 89, passed away February 20, 2015 at Porter Hospice in Centennial, CO. Gene was born January 11, 1926 to Earl S. and Anne Irons of Portland, Oregon. He was the eldest of two children. Preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, J. Marilyn Irons, sister Joy Williams and grandson Michael C. Irons, He is survived by daughter Kathy and husband James Fitzpatrick of Thornton, CO, son Mike and wife Linda Irons of Aurora, CO. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: J.J. Keough of Temple, TX, Desiree Keough of Thornton, CO, David and wife Caytea Irons of Aurora, CO, Jason and wife Cameo Irons of Aurora, CO, Jeremy Irons of Aurora, CO, Tracy Fitzpatrick Hart and husband Britton of Atlanta, GA, Jamie Castor and husband Michael of Denver, CO and eight great grandchildren: Owen Irons, Eliana Irons, Opal Irons, Emeric Irons, Aimlee Irons and Evan Irons of Colorado as well as Everett Hart and Blythe Hart of Atlanta. Services for Gene Irons will be Wednesday, March 11, at 1:00 p.m. – Please arrive early at Ft. Logan Cemetery, Staging Area A. South of Hampden on Sheridan. Use northernmost entrance on left hand side (closest entrance from Hampden) Gathering following at IHOP, 3100 S. Sheridan Blvd. in Bear Valley Shopping Center Donations in Gene’s name may be made to the Diabetes Foundation through their website: https://donations.diabetes.org
