Bobby L. Jarrett, 79, of Lakewood, Colorado died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was born April 15, 1934, to Rider L and Marguerite Jarrett in Coffeyville, Kansas. He was educated in Coffeyville public schools and upon graduation entered the U.S. Marines Corp where he attained the rank of Sargent. After the service he was employed by the Skelly Oil Company and later by Koch Industries as a Landman, researching property mineral rights. He later became a private contractor in the researching of property mineral rights. Bob is survived by a former wife, Shirley Jarrett of Mabelvale, Arkansas, a son Jeff Jarrett of Denver, a step-daughter Cindy Koster of Denver, a brother Jim Jarrett of Shawnee Kansas and a sister Charlotte Ward of Whitehouse, Texas. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Marcella Edmisten and a former wife Donnalee Jarrett. Bob is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was avid sportsman in his adult life, running competitively in races, playing softball, tennis, and active in adult mens soccer and coaching youth soccer. However his greatest love was biking. As a member of the Denver Bike Touring Club he participated in numerous bike tours in Hawaii, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Wyoming, Texas Hill Country, Washington State and Idaho.
