Homegoing Service In loving Memory of Christopher Isiah Lloyd “Zay” Christopher Isiah Lloyd, son, brother and friend, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018. Zay was known as a young man who knew his own mind. He knew what he wanted and what he did not. He knew what he would do and what he wouldn't. Which means when he spoke, we all listened, whether we agreed with what he was saying, or not. He was someone that to all who knew him loved him and wanted to be around him. Zay was very passionate about a select few things in life: family, friends, his girlfriend Savannah, skateboarding, music and video games. He showed his love for each in very different ways but there was never any doubt that these were the things that mattered most. He grew up as the son of a military service member, his mom. He moved from place to place and finally settled in Summerville, SC where he graduated high school. Once he graduated high school, he chose to stay in Summerville because he couldn’t imagine being away from his family. Zay’s love for his community and others was strong and his heart was big. When others evacuated from hurricane Matthew, Zay returned and helped his neighbors, bringing food, supplies and helping in anyway necessary. Zay’s family is close. His cousins were like additional brothers and sisters to him. His Grandmother, Aunts and Uncles were like second moms and Dads. He loved them all very much. He spent all of his life surrounding himself with those he loved. He is survived by his mom Sandra, dad Keith, sister Iesha, brother Keith “KJ”, grandmother Eva, grandmother Toni, nephews Tyler and Isaac, uncle Benjimin, aunt Tracey, aunt Alicia, cousins Marcus, Malik, Tre and Gabriele, his love Savannah and many other close family and friends and his dog Sophie. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on October 5, 2018 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral services will be at 3:00PM on October 6, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Minister Elizabeth Edwards officiating. Interment will be at Serenity Gardens.
