Dorothy "Dot" Poe
December 3rd, 1931 - December 16th, 2018
Dorothy (Dot) Poe of Hopkins peacefully passed away Saturday, December 16, 2018 and went home to her heavenly father. She was born December 3, 1931 to the late Clinton and Verderee Fogle. She was predeceased in death by her late husband, Lacy V. Poe and brothers, Sammie Fogle and Milton Fogle. She loved the church, gardening, and animals. She was a gentle Spirit who loved her family. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Poe; son, Randy (Diane) Poe; sister, Marilyn (Barrie) Harrelson; and sisters-in-law, Marlene and Bonnie Fogle; Grandchildren Erik and Brandon Poe and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Greenlawn Baptist Church, 6612 Garners Ferry Rd. Columbia, SC 29209. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 6pm until 8pm at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Leesburg Road. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11 am at Greenlawn Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park

North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
