Ethel Louise Doughty, 83, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away March 1, 2019. She was born on August 30, 1935 in South Carolina adopted by the late Theodore and Alma (Campbell) Hayes. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Priscilla Alexander and her husband, Wally Doughty. She is survived by her sons, Chris Alexander and Harry Dan Alexander; and daughter, Nancy Alexander. She has many Grand and Great - grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 11:00AM - 12:00PM. A Celebration of Life lunch will be at the Golden Coral, 5300 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC 29206, immediately following the Visitation. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park at a later date. Due to the unexpected passing, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to the family to help with funeral expenses.
