Fannie L. Sosa
February 25th, 1928 - July 1st, 2019
Fannie Lee Sosa, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday July 1st, 2019. She was born on February 25th, 1928 in Polkton, NC to the late Ira Lee Gaddy and the late Nora Kirk Gaddy. While her husband served in the United States Army, she was able to travel with him and their children to Germany, Italy, and Thailand. In her earlier years, she was employed with the Fort Jackson Post Exchange from 1962 to 1975. Following her work years, she became a stay at home mother and grandmother. She enjoyed growing flowers and working in the yard. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Fannie is survived by her husband, Victor, of 68 years; two sons, Randy Sosa (Donna) of West Columbia and Mark Sosa (Jeannie) of West Columbia; two daughters, Vicky Adams (Mike) of Hopkins and Kim Roland (Eric) of Lexington; six grandchildren, Trisha Stack, Victor M. Sosa, Jessica Thrift, Ashley Sosa, Michael Adams, Christopher Derrick; sixteen great grandchildren, Haley, Holly, Frankie and Zachary Pruitt, Trustan Stack, Trinity and Victor II Sosa, Emily and Reagan Thrift, Cameron Marsh, Carmen Sosa, Dawson and Aubrey Adams, Dillon Streeter, Jocalyn and Austin Derrick. Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Columbia on Friday July 5th 2019 from 12 Noon until 1:45 pm. Funeral services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel at 2pm. Burial will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards the building fund or budget for Lebanon United Methodist Church 10220 Garners Ferry Road Eastover SC 29044.
