February 5th, 1948 - January 31st, 2018
John Kevin Kelly, age 69, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at his home. He was born February 5, 1948, in Bayonne, N.J., the son of the late James and Agnes (Kelleher) Kelly. He served in the Air Force for 25 years. His service career took him to Karachi, Pakistan; Thailand; Massachusetts, Crete, Greece; Alabama; and finally, Colorado. He married Sally Stempa on December 2, 1972, in Shawano, WI. He is survived by his wife Sally; two daughters Meghan (Jason) Hutcherson of Glasgow KY and Shannon Kelly of Colorado Springs; a son John II (Jessica) of Lewisburg, WV; a grandson Ethan Hutcherson and John III ( coming soon); two brothers James (Karen) and Robert (Ann); and a sister Kate (Roy) Dybing. He is preceded in death by his brother Mark. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 6; at St. Patricks Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Klein and Deacon Dick Brown officiating. A special thanks you to Dr. Robert Hoyer and PA Lisa Adams, and the staff at Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care.
