Robert "Bob" Randall
April 14th, 1935 - November 9th, 2020
Robert Randall of Hopkins, SC passed away November 9th 2020 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1935 in Jenners Township, PA to Harry and Stella (Rubinski) Randall. Bob retired from the US Army after 25 years of service, earning the Purple Heart. He also retired from the US Postal Service. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. He also loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, and play golf. He also bowled in a league for many years. His favorite thing to do was, on Sundays, after the family meal, the whole family and some friends would play volleyball in his backyard. His favorite thing to say during those games was "SET UP'. Later in his life he enjoyed sitting on his porch with his wife and listening to Johnny Cash or Buddy Holley on his Google Play. He also loved to listen to "How Great Thou Art" by Chris Rice Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis (Kyte) Randall; his brother, George Randall (Marge) of Ravenna, OH; daughters Tammy Randall Dawkins (Phil) and Rebecca Randall; son Tony Randall (Chenelle); 5 grandchildren: Ashley Lang (Joe), Jessica Sharp (Greg), Matthew Dawkins, Alexander Randall, and Haley Randall. Also, nine great-grand children. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert Randall Jr. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home on Leesburg Road on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00pm with a Graveside Service to follow at 2:00pm at Greenlawn Cemetery. Chaplain Barbara Rowell will officiate the service. Pallbearers: John Motley, Larry Rudick, Robert Strange, Ernie Shiver, Matthew Dawkins, Alexander Randall.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
